The electric boiler uses heaters to warm up heating or service water. The individual heaters get connected at time intervals to prevent the overloading of the network during switching. Warmed water from the electric boiler circulates in a heating system by means of a circulation pump or gravity. Its maximum heating capacity can be reduced by switching a switch on the control panel, which proves advantageous especially during so-called transitional periods in spring and autumn. Required temperature inside the electric boiler and its automatic operation are secured by a built-in thermostat. The electric boiler facilitates operation blocking by means of the connected signal of ripple control.
The operation of the electric boiler can be controlled manually by means of control components on the control panel and on the boiler or by means of a connected room thermostat placed in a reference room, or, as the case may be, by means of a switching signal from a superior control system. Programmable room thermostats are special accessories supplied upon order.
To secure maximum operational safety, each PZP electric boiler is equipped with a safety thermostat protecting the electric boiler from overheating, a safety pressure switch protecting it from damage caused by water leaking from the heating system, and devices protecting electrical heaters. The PZP-KOMPAKT electric boilers are further equipped with a safety overpressure valve.
